The Monsoon puts Storm’s Reactor Solid cover on the symmetric Atmos A.I. core at a 2000 grit finish. It is a sensible, mid-range piece rather than a specialist, and that is exactly what makes it useful.

At 15 lbs the Atmos A.I. core reads a 2.53 RG with a .042 differential. The higher RG holds the roll back slightly and the moderate differential keeps flare in a sensible range, so the ball does not over-commit early. Meanwhile the sanded solid cover still gives you genuine midlane traction. The combination lands on a smooth, controllable arc that works well on typical medium house volume, and it stays in play longer than a stronger ball would as the pattern breaks down. Easy to line up with, easy to repeat.
